Obituary for George Anthony Turturro

GEORGE ANTHONY TURTURRO, 77, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Tinton Falls, NJ. He was born in Queens, NY, and resided in Tinton Falls, NJ, Lincroft, NJ, and Kearny, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 8 years ago.
George was predeceased by his Parents, Dominick and Katherine Turturro. He is survived by his beloved Wife of 52 years, Maureen Turturro of Jackson Twp.; his Son, George Turturro and his Wife, Kristyn of Freehold, NJ; his Daughters, Denise Sichenze and her Husband, Michael, and Danielle DeMaio and her Husband, Gary, both of Jackson Twp.; his 7 Grandchildren, that he loved dearly, Nicole, Joseph, Christopher, Julia, James, Mia, and Nicholas; and by his Brothers, Joseph Turturro and his Wife, Arlete of Westchester, NY, and Ronald Turturro and his Wife, Carol of Ronkonkoma, NY.
George will be remembered for his generosity and warm smile and his absence will be sorely felt by all that knew him. He will especially be missed by his adoring wife, family, and grandchildren, who meant the world to him.
George was employed as the Senior Vice President of Kearny Federal Savings Bank, Kearny, NJ, retiring in 2000, after 34 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ, and a member of the Kearny Lions Club.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Monday, May 28, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. His Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. Please gather at 9:15 AM at the church. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Rd., Freehold, NJ 07728.
