MICHAEL J. NORRIS, JR., age 44, of Eatontown, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. Mike was born in Staten Island, NY, had resided in Howell Twp. and Jackson Twp. before settling in Eatontown 2 years ago.
Mike worked for Commvault in Eatontown as a member of the technical staff for the past 3 years. Previously, he was the manager for McDonald’s for 20 years.
Mike was a communicant of St. Veronica’s Roman Catholic Church in Howell Twp. where he also attended elementary school.
Mike was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Olive and Noble “Mike” Bryant and by his paternal grandparents, Jim and Mary Norris. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Susan Norris of Howell Twp.; his sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Ed Faughnan of Howell Twp.; his aunt and godmother, Frances Pettersen; his aunt, Barbara Hicks; his aunt, Genevieve Lewis; and by his former wife, Valerie Lee Norris of Virginia.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at The GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 8:15 AM at the funeral home. His funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Veronica’s Roman Catholic Church, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell Twp. Interment will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Allenwood Rd., Wall Twp.
