ALBERT JOHN SZPILA, age 65, of Jackson Twp., NJ passed away on March 30, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Twp. Albert was born in Bayonne, NJ settling in Jackson Twp. 14 years ago.
Albert proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He worked as a mechanic for 30 years, most recently with Raymond of New Jersey in Union, NJ retiring in 2004. In addition, Albert was a “1960’s” car enthusiast.
Albert was predeceased by his parents, John and Elaine Szpila. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen Szpila; and by his children, Jessica Szpila and Jesse Szpila.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service with Military Honors on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of The Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Arneytown, NJ. The GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ is in charge of the arrangements.
