The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Philip Sciscione can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

John and Phil were lifelong friends and I bet they have now resumed their conversations about the war and solving the worlds problems. Warmest thoughts.

Condolence From: Eileen and John Wilkos
Condolence: A copy of my message that I sent to my Prayer Group online, a large group of wonderful people that most have M.S. They have prayed for Mr."S" many times prior......

From the Curator:
Please keep Phil's wife and the rest of his family and friends in your prayers as they say goodbye to this dear man. Special prayers for Eileen and John. Phil was a special friend to them for so many years and it's hard to lose someone so close to them. May God cover them all with His strength and comfort.

From: Eileen Wilkos to Prayer Group

Dear Friends,

Whenever we go back East to N.J., we visit a family that my husband grew up next door to as a young boy, Mr. and Mrs. "S", they are the highlight of our trip, we have prayed for Mr.S before and I have also mentioned them being the highlight of our trip, also. We spend the day at their home, along with their daughter's Kathy and Judy, who John also grew up with. Harry is Judy's husband, and Judy has a very nice boyfriend. They treat us very special and we enjoy seeing them, not to mention that Mrs. S is one of the best Italian cooks around, the BEST!

Mr. S was on a cruise several years ago and got very ill, the daughter's also went, it is always "Family" to Mr. and Mrs. S. Mr. S was diagnosed with cancer, had some major surgery and then had to under go chemo and radiation. He has always been like a 2nd dad to John, and John was the son that Mr. S never had. John and Mr. S kept in touch on a regular basis, spoke of current events, always cared about my health, always a loving man, caring about all.
He was doing rather well for several years, but sadly to say, he passed away yesterday, Thursday February 8, 2018, he was 87 years old, but didn't seem it, even after he was doing well. I have been in touch with Kathy a lot lately and knew that "Pops" as she called him, wasn't doing well, back and forth to the hospital, and Alice also known as Mrs. S would stay there from morning until night, they were a couple married for 62 years and also very unusual since the specialty of their marriage was almost not seen much anymore.

Mrs. S is very religious, she has a list and prays a lot of her day for many, many of the requests that I used to tell her about, as well as myself through the years of treatments and surgeries, amongst just the few to mention. Alice is a strong believer of GOD and his powers.
The Family is very heartbroken about Philips passing, but he went very peacefully in the hospital just as he was put on morphine yesterday. Kathy and Alice were in the room and didn't realize that Mr.S had stopped breathing and was at peace in GOD's hands now, no more pain, no more surgery, no more chemo, no more pain....at rest in Heaven. He even went quietly to go be with The Lord.

I know that John is very sad and heartbroken, he was his friend even though the age difference is large, as well as a father figure so to say, he will be missed by everyone who crossed paths with Mr.S. John said he will miss not speaking to Mr. S on the phone every few weeks as they had always done. I feel very sad, when we'd go to Ca. to my surgeon, Mr. S would always call John to inquire how I made out, a caring, loving man.

Please pray for the family, Mrs. S and their daughter's, son-in-law, and his grandson named after him, Philip, who adored his grandfather.
There are not many people that I have met as wonderful as this family, he treated John and his siblings wonderfully as children and because they clicked so well, kept in touch all through adult life. Both Alice and Phil were very young at heart, with very huge hearts as well. It is tough for us to fly back East now for Sunday, and I know John feels very badly, but Kathy didn't want us to make such a long trip ( I know I physically can't ) and she probably didn't want John to leave me home alone.

May The Wonderful Friends of The GOD Squad please pray for Phil's passing and give comfort to the Sciscione family, especially Alice who has been with Phil for so many years. Mr. S will sorely be missed by all. May GOD watch over him and take care of the family, he is in peace now, he was beginning to suffer, the last thing that Mr. S deserved, so GOD took him very quietly and peacefully, Thank GOD.

Thank You All in Advance.
GOD Bless

Love,
Eileen

Condolence: Dear Aunt Alice, Judy Kathy and family,

My continued prayers go out to all of you at this time. I know how difficult it has been and I ask the Lord to give you the strength and courage you need for each day. I will miss Uncle Sonny (silly uncle Tom) more than you know, but I have such fond childhood memories and I know I will treasure them forever. I feel very blessed to have seen him again after so many years at the family events over the course of 2017. Think of the good times of which you had many and even though you will deeply miss him, rest in the assurance that his gentle soul is at peace.
