MARY RUTH DAVIES McDERMOTT nee FRASER, 85, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. She was born on Staten Island, NY, and resided in Old Bridge, NJ for many years and Georgia and Maryland before setting in Jackson Twp. She was the most wonderful beautiful magnificent mother, grandmother and great grandmother anyone could ever dream of having. She will be missed beyond words.
Mary was employed as a Librarian for the Manalapan Public Library, Manalapan, NJ, retiring in 1998. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Monica, Jackson Twp., NJ.
Mary was predeceased by her Parents, Alvin and Mae Fraser, her brothers Alvin Fraser and Patrick Fraser, her cherished Grandson Glen Davies, and by her beloved Husband of 25 years, Edward Joseph McDermott in 2017. She is survived by her adoring children – Daughters, Kathy (Jan) Zavislak, Colleen (Jack) Dibble, Eileen (Brian) Rae, and Doreen (Doug) Jesseph; her Sons, Kevin (Rochelle) Davies, Brian (Dianna) Davies, Barry (Sue) Davies, Terence (Laura) Davies, and Dennis Davies; her her Stepson, Douglas McDermott; Stepdaughter, Donna Hoagland and James Drower; her 23 Grandchildren; and by her 15 Great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 3-7 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Friday, January 19, 2018, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM at the Church of St. Monica, 679 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C.
