Obituary for Alice Cassidy (O'Neill)
ALICE CASSIDY, 87, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017, at home. She was born in Birkenhend, England, and resided in Brooklyn, NY before settling in Howell Twp., 18 years ago.
Alice was a homemaker and a communicant of the Church of St. Veronica, Howell Twp., NJ.
She was predeceased by her Parents, John O’Neill and Sarah Murphy; her Husband, Joseph Cassidy; her Sons, James Cassidy and Joseph Cassidy; and by her Son-in-law, Henry Dodrill. Alice is survived by her Son, John Cassidy of Swiftwater, PA; her Daughters, Bridget Hyland and her Husband, Michael of Howell Twp., NJ, Patricia Dodrill of Jackson Twp., NJ, Agnes Harakal and her Husband, Glenn of CO., and Sarah Small and her Husband, Robert; her Daughter-in-law, Catherine Cassidy of Washingtonville, NY; her 17 Grandchildren; her 11 Great grandchildren; her Sister, Mary Hutchison and her Husband, John of Port Glasgow, Scotland; and by her Sister-in-law, Elizabeth Savage of Port Glasgow, Scotland.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Rt. 9 N., Howell Twp., NJ 07731. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood Twp., NJ 08701. If so desired, contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, 1504 East Franklin St., Suite 102, Chapel Hill, NC 27514-2820 and would be greatly appreciated.
