Obituary for Robert C. O'Loughlin

ROBERT C. O’LOUGHLIN, 85, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at CareOne of Jackson, Jackson Twp., NJ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and resided in Jackson Twp. for several years.
Robert was employed as a Bus Operator with NYC, MTA Bus Transit, retiring in 1986 after 31 years of service.
He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran where he served as a Sergeant during the Korean War, receiving the Nav Oc Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal with 2 **, UN Service Medal & Ribbon, the National Defence Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of the United States Marine Corps League, and the United States Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
Robert was predeceased by his Parents, Thomas and Anna O’Loughlin. He is survived by his Wife of 52 years, Elizabeth O’Loughlin of Jackson Twp., NJ; his Sons, Robert C. O’Loughlin, Jr. and his Wife, Nancy of Staten Island, NY, and James O’Loughlin and his Wife, Liza of Staten Island, NY; his Daughter, Bridget Santo and her Husband, Mario of Hicksville, NY; his Niece, Ann Marie Rodriquez of Jackson Twp., NJ; and by his 6 Grandchildren, Mario Santo, Jr., Connor O’Loughlin, Brianne Santo, and Jessica, Elena, and Anna Rodriquez.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 & 6-8 on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 7:45 AM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 8:45 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Brig. Gen. William C.
