VINCENT MAHOVETZ, age 61, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at home. He was born in Staten Island, NY, and resided in Jersey City, NJ, before moving to Jackson 32 years ago.
Vincent was employed as lead technician for United Airlines in Newark, NJ, for 31 years, retiring in 2017.
He was a member of the Italian American Club of Jackson and a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jackson.
Vincent was predeceased by his father, Frank Mahovetz. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Victoria Mahovetz; his sons and daughters-in-law, Vincent and Kelly Mahovetz of Jackson, NJ, Louis and Bree Mahovetz of Georgia, and Joseph and Michalina Mahovetz of Jackson, NJ; his mother, Marie Mundella of Georgia; his brothers, Frank and Michael; and by his grandchildren, Vinny, Kayla, Dominic, Lilyana, and Arabella.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:30 AM on Friday, October 13, 2017, followed by his Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, NJ.
