Obituary for James P. McGarrigle, Jr.

JAMES P. McGARRIGLE, JR., age 79, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus in Lakewood Twp., NJ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and had resided on Staten Island, NY, before settling in Jackson Twp. 6 years ago.
James worked for the Daily News in New York City, as a pressman, for 50 years before retiring.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
James was predeceased by his Parents, James P. McGarrigle, Sr. and Julia McGarrigle; and by his Wife, Julia McGarrigle. He is survived by his Daughter and Son-in-law, Lorie and Joseph Lombardi, Jr.; his Sons, Gregory McGarrigle and James P. McGarrigle, III; his Sister, Joan O’Brien; his 4 Grandchildren, Joseph Lombardi, III, Dean Lombardi, Brandon Lombardi, and Hannah McGarrigle; his Sisters and Brothers-in-law; and by his many Nieces and Nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 3-5 PM & 7-9 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. His Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennettts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Please gather at the church at 9:15 AM. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave., Staten Island, NY.
