Obituary for Gloria Rivera (Echevarria)
GLORIA RIVERA, 75, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at home. She was born in New York City, NY, and resided there until moving to Jackson 49 years ago.
Gloria was employed as a Teacher of English as a Second Language at Long Branch High School, Long Branch, NJ, before her retirement 13 years ago.
She was predeceased by her parents, Victor Manuel and Gloria Echevarria; and her husband, Homer Rivera in 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Hinkel; her brother, Victor Echevarria and his wife, Santa; her sister, Celenia Chevere; and by her 6 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM with her Funeral Service at 8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the funeral home. Graveside Service and interment to follow at 12 Noon in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Rd., Freehold Twp., NJ.
