CATHERINE H. LYON, 88, of Englishtown, NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Brandywine Living at Governor’s Crossing, Englishtown, NJ. She was born in Paterson, NJ, raised in Union, NJ, and resided in Cranford, NJ, and Jackson Twp., NJ, prior to settling in Englishtown 7 years ago.
Catherine was employed as an Administrative Assistant with Cranford Family Services for 5 years prior to her retirement in 1984.
She enjoyed reading, dancing and was a friend to all animals, especially dogs.
Catherine was predeceased by her Parents, David and Elizabeth Harter; and by her Husband, James J. Lyon. She is survived by her Daughter, Tracey Lyon Curtis and her Husband, David of Jackson Twp., NJ; and by her Grandchildren, Susannah Curtis and Philip Curtis both of Jackson Twp., NJ.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 7-9 PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Service will follow at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Park Cemetery, Route 1 South, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Catherine to the charity of your choice.
