Condolence: Uncle Michael,
I still can't believe you are gone from this earth. I have no doubt you are in heaven watching over us all. I have been blessed to have you as my Godfather and Uncle...'thank you' is just not enough. I can never repay you for all you have given to me including a role model for my life in so many ways.
I still wait for you to walk through the door on a Saturday to visit Yaya and sit and talk to my Mom and I. I know the visits had not occurred in some time due to illness, but that is how I remember you...the times when you were well. Uncle Omar was sometimes a part of that Saturday crew. I guess you guys are up there now being reunited. Who will make the potato pie and melanesas for you both now?!? ;)
I love you, Uncle Michael. I have learned so much from you and I will honor your life by trying to live the lessons you have taught me through your exemplary life. You are always in our hearts and, I like to think, not so far from us really. I try to remind your Mom of that...it is very, very hard. :(
