THELMA JOHNSON, 92, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson Twp., NJ. She was born in Scranton, PA, and resided in Hazlet, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., NJ, 18 years ago.
Thelma was employed with Addresses Unlimited, Middletown, NJ, prior to her retirement.
She was a Campfire Girl Leader in Hazlet, NJ, and in her free time she enjoyed Bowling and Golfing.
Thelma passed away on what would have been her 72nd wedding anniversary to her Husband, James, who predeceased her in March of this year.
She was predeceased by her Parents, David and Mary Price; her Brother, William Price; her Sister, Anne Phillips; and by her Husband, James Johnson in 2017. She is survived by her Son, James Johnson, Jr. and his Wife, Rosemary of Barnegat, NJ; her Daughter Joy Chafe and her Husband, Donald of Jackson Twp., NJ; her 4 Grandchildren, Melissa Couto and her Husband, Steve of Whiting, NJ, Tracey Clery and her Husband, Derek of Avon, CO, DJ Chafe of Freehold, NJ, and Jaime Senard and her Husband, Christopher of Lewis, DE; and by her 5 Great grandchildren, Hudson and Delaney Senard, Ryan Clery, and Alexander and Dominic Couto.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 3-6 PM with her Funeral Service at 5 PM on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd, Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. If so desired, contributions may be made in Thelma’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 08734-1365 and would be greatly appreciated.
