MARGARITA RODRIGUEZ, 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, surrounded by her family at AcuteCare Specialty Hospital at Kimball, Lakewood Twp., NJ.
She was born on November 11, 1923, in Bogota, Colombia, and resided in Toms River, NJ. Margarita loved spending time with her children and their families. She was a very happy and proud grandma and great grandma, blessed with being a large part of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s lives. She loved horses, traveling and enjoyed spending holidays with family and all that life offered.
Margarita was predeceased by her mother and father, Simon Garay and Mariquita Rodriguez; her husband, Luis Alberto Lopez; and by her three sons, Pedro Pablo, Hugo Orlando, and Alfredo Lopez. She is survived by her sons, Carlos Lopez of Toms River, NJ, Luis and his wife, Ana Fernanda Lopez of Toms River NJ; her daughters, Lilia and her husband, Pablo Padilla of Jackson Twp., NJ, Susana and her husband, Aquileo Fajardo of Kissimmee, FL, and Angela and her husband, Michael Terranova of Bayville, NJ; her grandchildren, Monica Kelemen, Maribel Conn, Daniel Padilla, Adriana Rivera, Joanna Lopez, Julian Lopez and Alejandro Lopez. She also has thirteen great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 21, 2017, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527.
