Obituary for William Daly

WILLIAM DALY, age 81, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He was born in Queens, NY, and had resided in Staten Island, NY, before settling in Jackson Twp. 11 years ago.
William worked at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City, NY, as the Chief Clerk for 40 years, retiring in 2001. Prior to that, he worked for Kent Tile for 8 years.
William proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and received the Good Conduct Medal. In addition, he was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jackson Twp.
William was predeceased by his parents, William and Sylvia Daly. He is survived by his wife, Emily Daly; and by his sister, Kathleen Dennell.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at The George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 8:30 AM at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment with military honors will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Amboy Rd., Staten Island, NY.
