The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joel Granatelli can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Andy Clark
Condolence: I didn't know Joel personally but I am friends with John Granatelli and from what I've read and seen knowing John, his dad was quite a man and will surely be missed. As a fellow scout and boy scout leader I know our ranks are one fewer today but I'm sure his teaching and inspiration are carrying on in countless boys thanks to his service.

Condolence From: Raymond Massicotte
Condolence: I was privileged to have been considered as being one of Joel's highly regarded friends. I will miss our frequent phone conversations in which we shared old Blue Cross "war stories" and got caught up on sharing our most recent "corny jokes" We also enjoyed lunches together and periodically with Joe Kal and Al Shanley.
Joel was a real gentleman who respected everyone he worked with and met during his business career and throughout his entire life.
He will be greatly be missed by many.
Sally and I extend our deepest sympathy to the entire Grantelli family.

Condolence From: Tom Bolt & Jeni Smith
Condolence: Jeni and I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Granatelli several times when he visited his daughter, Maria, and her husband, Paul, and their children. Although he was not often in the U.S. Virgin Islands, he was always supportive of Maria and Paul's efforts to help those in need in our islands.

He was an inspiration to many with his love of God, family and community. His children, grandchildren and great children will carry this proud Granatelli tradition forward for many generations to come.

Hopefully the Granatelli family will find comfort in their many wonderful memories of Popi Joel, as well as the love and kindness of family and friends in this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence: Joel was a wonderfully loving Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Friend. He will be truly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have know him or know of him.

Fittingly, he left us on Valentine's Day and is now with Loretta, his beloved wife and love of his life.
