MARTHA A. BROWN, 72, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and resided in Jackson, NJ, before moving to Toms River 10 years ago.
Martha was employed as a cafeteria worker by the Jackson Township Board of Education for 26 years before her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, and was involved with Jackson Pop Warner, and the Holbrook Little League in Jackson.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Harold and Laura Macking; her Husband, James F. Brown; her Brother, Harold Macking; and her Sister, Anna Macking. She is survived by her Sons and Daughters-in-law, James and Laura Brown of Toms River, NJ, and Aaron Brown and Ruthann Rogan, all of Toms River, NJ; her Daughter, Hope Brown of Toms River, NJ; her Brother, John Macking; her Sister-in-law, Shirley; and by her Granddaughter, Rhiannon.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, February 2, 2017, from 4-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 10 AM on Friday, February 3, 2017, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A private cremation will follow.
