Obituary for C. R. Kelly

C. R.  Kelly
C. R. KELLY, 80, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the Capital Health System at Fuld, Trenton, NJ. Mr. Kelly was born in Trenton and lived most of his life in Jackson.
C. R. served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was the owner of C. R. Kelly Painting of New Egypt, NJ, for 35 years and retired in 1990. C. R. transferred his membership from New Egypt Elks Lodge to Millstone Elks Lodge June 1, 1980, and was a charter member of Millstone Elks Lodge #2613. He was a member for 37 years and held Membership #1; he was Exalted Ruler 1981-1982, Past Exalted Ruler 1983-1984, Past Exalted Ruler 1989-1990, Elk of the Year 1999-2000 and 2000-2001, served as Lodge Secretary 1985-1986, 1986-1987, 1987-1988, 1988-1989, served and chaired all lodge committees, and served as House Chairman for 5 years. C. R. was a member of The Knights of Columbus Council #6201 of Jackson, NJ.
C. R. was predeceased by his parents, William and Dorothy Kelly; and his brother, John Staffin. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Kelly and her husband, Angelo Coniglione of Jackson Twp., NJ; his son, Robert A. Kelly of New Egypt, NJ; and by his grandchildren, Jamie Eltink and Dara Kelly.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial gathering on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 4-7 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. The Elks Service will be held Wednesday 6 PM at the funeral home. If so desired, contributions may be made in C. R.’s memory to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, P O Box 820, Browns Mills, New Jersey, 08015-0820, and would greatly be appreciated.
