CHARLES VINCENT KELLNER, 83, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at home. He was born in Manhattan, NY, and resided in Old Bridge, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., NJ, 49 1/2 years ago.
Charles was employed as a telephone technician for 20 years with Western Electric and for 20 years with Naval Air Station, Lakehurst, retiring in 2005. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ, where he was involved with the Holy Name Society, all charitable events, Bingo, and served as an Usher.
Charles was predeceased by his Parents, Frank Joseph and Hanna Kellner; his Son, Lt. Cmdr., Kevin Kellner; his Sister, May; and by his Wife of 61 years, Eleanor J. Kellner in 2014 to whom he was very devoted. He is survived by his Sons, Charles Kellner, Jr. and his Wife, Denise of Brick, NJ, and Kenneth Kellner of Jackson Twp., NJ; his Daughters, Rosemarie Lindlau and her Husband, Ray of Winter Springs, FL, Margaret Ann Nanartowicz and her Husband, Michael of Jackson Twp., NJ, and Jeanette Miller of Jackson Twp., NJ; his Brothers, Edward Kellner and his Wife, Margie of NJ, and Whitey Kellner of NJ; his Sister, Rose Maliza and her Husband, Ray of NY; and by his 21 Grandchildren and 2 Great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Visitation on Sunday, February 7, 2016, from 1-4 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. His Funeral Liturgy will be offered Monday, February 8, 2016, at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. Please gather at the church at 9:15 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood Twp., NJ 08701.
