VIRGINIA MARIE “GINNY” ORR, 78, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. Virginia was born in New Brunswick, NJ, and resided in South River, NJ, before settling in Jackson 51 years ago.
Virginia was employed as a Sales Clerk for Target, Howell Twp., NJ, and also worked as a Cafeteria Aide for St. Aloysius Church.
She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson. She was a member of Sodality at Corpus Christi Church in South River, and a Eucharistic Minister for St. Aloysius Church. She was also learning sign language.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Manuel and Umbelina Alves; her Husband, Martin S. Orr in 1999; and her Son, Jeffrey Orr in 2009. She is survived by her Son, Joseph Orr, and his Wife, Nina of Largo, FL; her Brother, Joseph Alves of South River, NJ; her Sister, Betty Unverzagt, and her Husband, Bob of Surprise, AZ; her Nephew, Rob Unverzagt, and his Wife, Tara of Torrance, CA; and by her Niece, Sue Unverzagt and her Husband, Tom Burgess of Austin, TX.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 3-7 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered on Friday, April 10, 2015, at 8:30 AM at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius RC Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood, NJ.
