Obituary for Richard A. Zavada

RICHARD A. ZAVADA, 73, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp., NJ. Born in Bayonne, NJ, he resided in Howell Twp., NJ, for 27 years before moving to Jackson 10 years ago.
Mr. Zavada worked in the car business as business manager for over 25 years. Before retiring in 2005, he was employed by Sea Coast Chevrolet in Ocean Township, NJ, for 10 years.
He was an avid sports fan. He especially liked watching the NY Yankees and the NY Giants.
Richard was a communicant of The Church of St. Veronica in Howell.
He was predeceased by his Parents, Andrew and Emma Zavada; and his Brother, Ronald Zavada. He is survived by his Wife of 47 years, Maureen (Farmer) Zavada; his Daughters, Jill Moss and her Husband David of Middletown, NJ, and Erin Stonack of Howell, NJ; his Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Peggy and Lew Haskins of Wall Twp., NJ; his Sisters-in-law, Rita Farmer of Ocean Grove, NJ, and Dolores Zavada of Belleville, NJ; and his Grandchildren, MacKenzie, Morgan, and Dylan.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 Am on Friday, February 14, 2014, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 N, Howell Twp., NJ. A private cremation will follow.
